Meal Planning Monday.

September 15, 2008

This week we have melons, tomatoes, some green beans and butternut squash from the garden to use up. And eggs. Lots of eggs.

Monday

Zucchini and Pepper Fritatta
La Milpa mixed greens w/ tomatoes

Tuesday

Roast Chicken and Vegetables (potatoes, squash, whatever else is floating around)

Wednesday

Prosciutto w/ melon
Butternut Squash Risotto (the recipe I used for the first dinner I made B -- he likes this a lot)
Tomato Salad

Thursday

Soft Chicken Tacos w/peppers and onions
Guacamole
Sliced Melon

Friday

Steaks with Herb Butter
Green Beans

Lunches:

Meyer Lemon Grain Salad with Almonds, Asparagus and Goat Cheese {UPDATE: I JUST MADE THIS AND IT IS AN INSANELY GOOD RECIPE!!}
Ham sandwiches on sourdough
Egg salad

  2. our meal plan for friday involves a babysitter and a great new rest. we haven't tried yet. last time it was starlite (liked it a lot). thought you foodies might have a recommendation? we don't get out much :)

  3. AliceQ: yes! I will start setting some aside, but I need cartons. lots.

    Elizabeth: If you ant something new and pretty special, try Roseville in Point Loma. It's excellent! If you want something a little more casual, try Farmhouse Cafe in your neck of the woods. Both places are owned by former Laurel people.
