A Little Home Tour by Joslyn.

September 22, 2008

Way back when, the super stylish and talented Joslyn from Simple Lovely (one of my daily absolute-must-reads) emailed me that I should do a home tour. Considering our house has occupied so much of our time and energy over the past year and a half (finding it, buying it, remodeling it, moving in, finding out about all those fun "hidden" problems... now, finally, really enjoying it!), it seemed like a fun idea. I was more excited when Joslyn said she would feature it on her blog! And now she has. Go check it out here.

Thanks again, Joslyn! And for the kind comments too.... :)

  14. Thanks for sharing the beautiful home photos. I have to ask, where did you get the dining table? It is stunning.

  15. Thank you so much to everyone! I'm glad you all like our home too. :)

Shira: the dining room table ("Straight Edge" is the design name) is from a company called World Wide Originals http://www.worldwideoriginals.com/. I think you might need to find a distributor as you can't order it directly. We get more comments on that table than anything else! ;)

  16. Wow. Beautiful house. As a resident of North County SD, I have to say that i'm totally impressed. Since we've been looking for a mid-century house to call our own for nearly 4 years, It is heartwarming to see that, yes, there are indeed good ones to be found. However, I'm beginning to think that looking further south may be our only solution for an authentic mid-century design.

    any neighborhood suggestions?

  17. Love your style and blog. I was wondering if you could share the paint colors you used for the kids bedroom and the flor tiles. I was thinkign of doing an orange/grey color scheme for my boys bedroom and this is perfect. Thanks in advance.

  18. MaryAnn: Here are the FLOR tiles we used in C-Man's room: fifi orange, cece chalk and coco chocolate (all in the "Toy Poodle" line). The paint choices I copied from an article in Domino a long time ago. They were Benjamin Moore paints (the natura line): Benjamin Moore "Aura" / 2015-30 Calypso Orange/ Finish "Eggshell" AND Benjamin Moore "Aura" / HC-98 Providence Olive/ Finish "Eggshell". Let me know if you need more info.
