Up Early? Make These.

November 3, 2008

I am so all about pumpkin everything. This weekend I had two different types of pumpkin soup, and on Sunday morning, that glorious first day after setting our clocks back, C-Man and I made pumpkin pancakes. In. The. DARK. But hey! They turned out really good. We ate them with butter, plain yogurt and real maple syrup. Oh, and a huge coffee for mom. We used this recipe, but modified it a bit (used all whole wheat pastry flour and more buttermilk than the recipe called for).

  1. Hi Jora - I have been reading your blog for a bit now and have been meaning to tell you how much I love it! It definitely makes my day when I see a new post. Anyway, I have the same pumpkin craving right now, so I made pumpkin chocolate brownies (from the smitten kitchen website) yesterday. YUM! I have a 14 month old, so we were up super early yesterday, too. I can't wait till the kiddo gets used to the time change.

Well me and my hubby's 10th anniversary is this week and he already surprised me with a gorgeous pair of diamond earrings from www.idonowidont.com and I want to surprise him with a nice meal.

So those pumpkin pancakes would be perfect for a romantic breakfast in bed, thanks!
