Blog Overhaul.

OK. So I want to spiff up this thing, this blog here. Who wants to help? Or who knows of someone who can? I am thinking of some big changes, including a name change (I have never liked it. I picked it under duress one late night while trying to decide if I was going to start one of these things. What can I say? All the good names I thought of were taken.) Maybe a name change would be too hard at this point. I don't know. But I definitely want to change the whole look of this thing. Help me!

ReplyDeleteNO!!! I LOVE your name, I think it's great. I'm all for an overhaul, like a cool header or whatever, but the name is great. Though I totally understand the under duress thing, mine came after punching in about a million and one other choices before and then I tried this one and it stuck. I hate it. Especially since I think most people think it means 'house of the pacifiers' or something, not 'peaceful home' (what it really means)... anyway, love your blog & name. Don't change too much!
ReplyDeleteWhile I don't like the idea of tampering with my favorite daily read AT ALL, like it or not, we are living in a time of change. Change has come! This is a call to arms, DR faithful. The road will be long. Our climb will be steep. We may not get there in one comment or even in one post. But I am hopeful that we will help our beloved blogerina overhaul this here blog to her utmost liking. Yes we can!!!

I have to admit, your blog name does not reflect just how hip and cool your blog really is. Good luck! I know I'll be happy with whatever changes you make; afterall, you obviously have good taste, which is why I love your site so!!!

I also like "M.A.D. Woman." Your tag line could be Meditative, A la Mode, Domestic (or something like that).

ReplyDeleteHow about: "The Blog Formerly Known as Domestic Reflections?" Seriously, learn from Prince's marketing fiasco. If it ain't broke, why hot glue it? True, it does sound a little like it could be a title for one of those meditation CDs next to Ocean Tranquility at Target, but IMO, that's what it connotes - all things reflecting house and home, family and children. It fits. If you want to mix it up a little, change a font or two, take baby steps!
ReplyDeleteheh heh, i kind of agree with anonymous above. while the name of your blog doesn't fully express how hip and charming and lovely it is, it has a certain allure to it. i mean, who doesn't want to reflect, domestically? i would vote for baby steps first, like having ellie at rainy day templates design a header for you. her site looks so great, in fact, i just contacted her about a quote for mine!
