Please please tell me that you cleaned and picked up toys for days beforehand. I don't think I could handle it if your house always looked so put together. :) Where are your remotes, your magazines, your random puzzle pieces?

Gorgeous space, especially the approach to the house. It really sets the stage. Thanks for sharing

180/360: It's funny, the guy from AT warned me that they have been getting nasty commenters and to "be prepared." I've actually gotten a kick out of some of the rude comments b/c they are so untrue. Le Sighhhhhhhhhh.........

thanks for answering my source question on AT (re. the ikea nursery/floor cushions!)..your home is just lovely and one can clearly sense it is a happy, serene home as well as beautifully designed and curated..your blog gives a lovely glimpse into your life. best to you and yours!..
p.s. i'm a residential designer (by way of a set decorating film career before my own kids came along) and i find it stunning the "judgy" comments on AT about the pristine nature of your place--doesn't everyone "dress" their home for photos?? and pick up the miscellaneous pieces?.. :)

hello gorgeous?! congrats on your lovely everything, home, blog, chickens, children... in no particular order of course! saw some background pics of your orto over at your guest blogging position and it's amazing. great idea and execution with the raised beds terraced into a hill. looks so organized, the opposite of mine! we'll have to exchange tips this summer;-) is the netting to keep out kids or animals?

Hi Jora! Your home is absolutely stunning . . . my dream home!!! My husband and I are moving into an older home in Corona del Mar, CA and we are facing some similar challenges - an open staircase/wide railings. We want to keep the original staircase. I love the look of the wood (?) panel along your open staircase. What type of material is it and can you possibly share who installed it for you? We have an 11 month old son who is extremely busy so the open staircase is making me nervous. Again, your home is so beautiful!
