B has never, ever, not even once, told me to post anything on this blog. He stay pretty clear of that. Until now. This morning, he *ordered* me (in the way husbands sometimes do) to post this photo of our son. C-Man had just come up from the garden with B calling, "Mama, I have presents from the garden for you!" I looked out the kitchen window, and there he was beaming with his very own vegetable crate filled with chard, salad greens, kale,
fava beans, broccoli and eggs. B and I have never seen him prouder.

I can't imagine the look on his face when he shows me his first jar of honey!
WANT THOSE FAVAS!!!!!
ReplyDeletethat's amazing!! i'm jealous! we're about to plant our garden here and I cannot WAIT! way to teach your kiddos about real food early on. :)
ReplyDeleteBless his little soul! I've never seen a little boy so enamored with fresh vegetables. Consider yourself very lucky!
ReplyDeleteHave you seen Jamie Oliver's new show, Food Revolution? He goes to the least healthy city in America and tries to revolutionize the school lunches there and he is met with SUCH obstinance and narrow-mindedness. It makes me so sad because I know his heart is in the right place, but the people don't want to change their nasty eating habits, even though it's killing them. The kids are only interested in eating pizza and corndogs and chocolate milk and they throw away their fruit and veggies every day. It's beyond frustrating to watch. It looks like C-Man is already on the right track to a healthier life, which gives me hope for the future of America. Kudos!
Just awesome. Nice going with the veggie indoctrination :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteNow that is an image of real beauty -- garden fresh vegetables and a child learning to appreciate and enjoy them. Bless you for teaching your children well.
ReplyDeleteSO cool, Jora. Your kids are leading the life I hope my future kids will have!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful. Your children seem so wonderful. Please keep the meal planning going. I need inspiration.
