  1. Oh I hear you on that! And now that I'm pregnant, belts have never looked better. I noticed them on EVERYONE.

Looks like we'll have to wait until next summer for all these cute dresses with waists. ;)

  2. That is adorable!

I just found your blog. Love your suggestion of American Apparel for maternity, and agree that the Pea in the Pod is beyond depressing, but do you have any suggestions for more formal pregnancy dresses? I have to be in a wedding this summer at 21 weeks; bride said to wear whatever, but I'm totally lost.

  3. Hi Molly! I am a big fan of Diane Von Furstenberg (or any) wrap dresses. You can wear them during and after pregnancy, plus they are easy to nurse in. At 21 wks, you shouldn't be too big yet, so you should have some good non-maternity options (empire-waist perhaps?) if you don't want to spend a ton on some Pea in the Pod formal dress you'll wear once. :-)

  4. Thanks, Jora! I LOVE the blog, by the way. I have a couple of the DVF maternity wrap dresses from my first pregnancy (ironically, DVF "for A Pea in the Pod"), and you're right, maybe could dress them up with jewelry to be wedding-ready.

  5. Hi Jora, this dress is so adorable, I saw it somewhere before or maybe one like it, that was probably very expensive and I decided not to get it, well anyway , I love it, but it is only available in a medium or large, I need xs or small, any ideas where else to purchase it?? for that price I just can't pass it up!!!

  6. Thanks for posting that site; they seem to have a lot of cute dresses.

Have you bought anything there before? The dresses look like they could either fall on the Anthropologie side of the street or be more akin to Forever 21. Any insight on the quality?

  8. if it makes you feel any better, I'm not pregnant but I still couldn't pull off that waist line! It seems the abundant winter rains here in Rome (meaning lots of fireside eating and drinking) meant that when I tried on my summer clothes this last week, nothing fits! Oh well, my husband rightfully calls them the most expensive pounds... as they come directly from good wine and good food!
