Turns out, that whole
confession thing works. It actually motivated me to address a few of those lingering issues..... To wit: Little E's birth announcements have gone out (most of them anyway)!!
Here's what I did this time around. (Photo by the amazing
Kim...)

A
letterpress card (designed by the also super-awesome
Brenda):

Brenda told me to use
these envelopes (in "papaya). Because she knows this sort of thing.
I love how this announcement turned out. Makes me a little sad it is our last one, you know?
I love everything about this!!
ReplyDeleteAhhh... it looks great! :o) What a wonderful poem, too.
ReplyDeleteokay, so this means that if I don't get D's announcements out until summer it's okay?
ReplyDeleteYour updated birth story was beautiful. So glad you shared. And that all is well with you and your fam. xx
I love the announcement and little e's name. that is my next pick for a girl (it was my great grandmother's name). My almost 3 year old is Eleanor, and I think that would be a good pairing. We also love C-man's name. That is in the running if we have a boy!
ReplyDeleteI love every detail--the photo, the poem, the font, the colors...:)
ReplyDeleteThis is THE best birth announcement ever!
ReplyDeleteLovely photo, lovely poem! Everything looks so professional!

ReplyDeleteVery, Very sweet and classy picture and poem. If I was going to have more kids, I may have to "borrow" this idea!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous birth announcement, lovely family photo, and stunning poem choice.
ReplyDeletestunning!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this announcement. Very, very inspiring. And I also love PS's envelopes in papaya too. I have some of their pillow boxes in that very color right now and am wondering what to do with them!
ReplyDeleteNice to read the poem om your birth card. It's a dutch poem translated into english.
ReplyDeleteI considered putting it on the birth card of one of our tree boys and I even know it by heart:
ik zoek een woord
een heel nieuw woord
een woord dat niemand kent
ik zoek een woord
dat zeggen wil
dat jij de liefste bent
Hello,
ReplyDeleteWhen I design custom invitations, I offer to design custom postage for my clients to complete the look of their invitation package. The party starts when the guests open their invitations, so setting the tone of the party with the invitation is important. But even before the envelope is opened, the first impression the guest has of the invitation is what’s on the outside.
I LOVE THIS!!!!
