C-Man doesn't stay for naptime at school very often. Once he figured out there isn't any playtime involved, he wasn't interested anymore. But it's his loss as far as I'm concerned. His teachers light candles, give them foot massages (with lavender oil no less) and sing them lullabies. Heck, I wish I could go take a nap at his school right now! Maybe getting him one of these cute nap mats would convince him to try it again?

I want one of those, and will also gladly take his spot at his day spa...I mean day care.

Foot massages and candles?! That's awesome. I wish we had a Waldorf here.
ReplyDeleteThey do something similar at my boys' preschool (Emilio Reggio school). Are we spoiling our kids!!!

Sounds similar to my sons preschool. I would love to take his place one day. I'm off now to find my lavender candles and Bunny Slippers suddenly I'm in the mood for sleep :)
ReplyDeleteWhat is it with kids not wanting to take naps? Do they not know how special it is to have a wonderful little chunk of time carved out of each day specifically to take a nap? Throw in foot massages and candles, and I'm in heaven. ;)
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to suggest that we start that at my office - how do you think that will go over?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for featuring our organic nap mat! Thrilled to be on your lovely blog. Thanks again.
ReplyDeletei'd love to take a nap... right now :)
ReplyDeletehow darling. my little guy isn't at the school-nap stage yet. But I would like to note that I am definitely at the lavender foot rub stage. But I digress... Anyway, great Etsy tip. I caved to an impulse purchase and bought a vintage-fabric picnic blanket. You know, so the whole family can nap, en plein air :)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds heavenly!
ReplyDeleteThat's the bomb. Yum.
